Bodegas Tradicion šerijs Fino

SKU: SPJEBTRFOJE1750NV Category:
Palomino Fino | Jerez | Spain | Fortified Wine | Bodegas Tradicion | N.V. | 0,75 L | 15 %
About
Bodegas Tradicion Jerez Fino is a bone-dry, fortified wine, meticulously crafted from the Palomino grape variety, indigenous to the Jerez region in Andalusia, Spain. This Fino sherry undergoes aging under a layer of flor yeast, contributing to its unique character and complexity, in adherence to the time-honored traditions of the solera system. Bodegas Tradicion's commitment to quality and tradition is evident in this Fino, offering a sherry that is a pure expression of the terroir and winemaking heritage of Jerez, celebrated for its crispness and delicate almond notes.
Producer
Bodegas Tradición is a new winery located in the Jerez region, but this winery is also the successor to the oldest winery in the Jerez wine region. Joaquín Rivero founded the winery in 1998, deciding to continue the family tradition of sherry production. The roots of Bodegas Tradición sprout from the oldest sherry production Bodega CZ, JM Rivero, which was founded back in 1650. JM Rivero was appointed the official wine supplier to the royal courts of Spain and Portugal, while winning many international awards. Diego Cabeza de Aranda y Zarco, and then Francisco Antonio de la Tixera became his business partner. The initials "CZ" in the name of the trademark correspond to the capital letters of the founder's names, and as a result of the marriage between the daughter of Mr De la Tixera and Mr Joaquín María Rivero y G onzález), the winery was renamed Bodega CZ, J.M. Rivero ". In 1991, Bodega CZ, J.M. Rivero was sold to another winemaker, and Joaquim Rivero immediately set about planning to re-create the family tradition with a new winery and a new strategy: “The word Tradicion carries a double responsibility: continuing the family business and returning to the traditional styles and processes of Jerez winemaking.” For this purpose, an old sherry warehouse was purchased, and after the reconstruction of the warehouse, the first barrels of Bodegas Tradición arrived here. The main goal of the company at that time was the production of the best fortified wines, as well as the purchase of first-class American oak barrels for storing the wines selected by the team of experts from Bodegas Tradicion.
Tasting notes

The tasting profile of Bodegas Tradicion Jerez Fino is marked by its bright, clear color and a refined aroma of almonds and green apples, leading to a palate that is refreshingly crisp with a saline minerality and a complex, lingering finish. This sherry’s elegance and light body make it an exceptional aperitif.

Pairing

Bodegas Tradicion Jerez Fino pairs splendidly with tapas, especially almonds, olives, and Iberian ham, where its dryness and acidity cut through the richness of the food, cleansing the palate between bites. It is also an excellent match for seafood, particularly shellfish and fried fish, as its crispness complements the delicate flavors of the dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Palomino Fino variety is quite neutral in bouquet, with low acid level and alcohol, making it a natural pretender for fortification. Fortified wine styles of this variety range from light refreshing to rich oxidative with intensive nutty flavor.
Sherry, or sherry, is a truly unique wine. It is produced only in the Jerez wine region, located in the triangle between Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlucar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa Maria in southern Spain. The wine tradition of the region goes back over 3000 years, where local winemakers developed their own unique method of fortified wine production. The unique climatic conditions here are ideal for growing three varieties of grapes: Palomino for drier sherry, and Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel for sweet style. Sherry is a very delicate, multifaceted and noble wine, its production process is so intriguingly complicated that experts often compare it with champagne of the highest quality, and for many talented winemakers of the world it is a professional dream to create such a valuable drink.
