      The Ascheri Langhe Nebbiolo DOC "S. Giacomo" 2022 is a dry red wine, crafted exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, a varietal synonymous with the Piedmont region of Italy, particularly revered for its contribution to the prestigious Barolo and Barbaresco wines. This wine is produced under the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC appellation, indicating adherence to strict production standards and highlighting the distinctive terroir of the Langhe area. "S. Giacomo" is celebrated for capturing the essence of the Nebbiolo grape, offering a more approachable style that remains faithful to the complexity and elegance associated with this iconic varietal.
      Producer
      After the move, Matteo Cavaleri's house became La Morra in Bra in 1880, where it is still today. Classically producing "Piedmontese" reds, their lists also included Gavi, Brachetto and Vermouth along with "Barolino Chinato" and "Gran Vino Barolo". In 1994, some of the old cellars were cleverly used by the Ascheri family, who opened l'Osteria Muri vecchi, an ideal meeting place where you can truly enjoy traditional cuisine and local wines and turn them into cultural, social and fun experiences. Today, the winery is run by the current president of the Barolo appellation, Matteo Ascheri.

      The Langhe is a mountainous region of Piedmont located east of the Tanaro River and south of the capital of Alba. Lange has a long history of winemaking, and many of the wines produced here use traditional, well-established grape varieties such as Arneis and Vermentino for white wines, and Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Freisa for reds. Since its official launch in November 1994, Langhe DOC has built a significant reputation for innovative viticulture.
