Glera is a white grape variety primarily known for its use in the production of Prosecco. Glera-based wines often exhibit delicate floral aromas, with notes of white flowers, apple, pear, and sometimes hints of citrus fruits. On the palate, these wines are typically light-bodied, crisp, and refreshing, with bright acidity and flavors of green apple and pear.

Veneto is the home of the first Italian winemaking school, marking it the beginning point of wine tourism in Italy.
